Slip Sliding Away

There is something about old buildings that inspires me to play with my Split Toning Sliders. These barns and sheds and garages simply beg me to get involved and manipulate their colours and highlights and shadows. To be honest, I often don’t even know exactly what I’m doing, but I love the effect that I can create while I play.
Yes, I said create. As many before me have said, “Photographers create images.
I know it’s a variation on reality.
I know the colours are not true.
I know I’ve altered the original scene.
But, it seems appropriate to give in to the request of these decrepit old structures before they completely slip and slide away.
What do you think about photo manipulation?

Each and everyone one of us will probably think something different. That’s what life’s about I guess. I think these colours sort of give an aged effect to your photos making them look like historical shots. I quite like it.

  2. Thanks, Kidazzle. That’s what I thought too.
